Our AGM guest speaker will be Kevin Donovan, presenting his talk on "Making a Difference One Story at a Time".
Kevin Donovan, the Toronto Star's Chief Investigative Reporter, will speak about the importance of solid investigative journalism in an era of fake news. He will delve into his investigations of the bad charities, the late Mayor Rob Ford, former CBC host Jian Ghomeshi and his investigation of the Barry and Honey Sherman murders. As someone who was on the ground covering conflicts in Afghanistan and Iraq, Kevin will tell a few war stories as well.
Kevin's talk is scheduled to start at 10:30 am after the business portion of the AGM is completed.
