Mystical Landscapes from Vincent Van Gogh to Emily Carr: Its Genesis, Contents and Legacy

This exhibition on mystical landscapes organized by the Art Gallery of Ontario, Toronto, in partnership with the Musée d’Orsay, Paris, in 2016-17, attracted 750,000 visitors breaking records on both sides of the Atlantic. While the stellar works of art were a draw in their own right, it was the spiritual thesis and the invitation to contemplation that drew people in. Come and hear about the curator’s experience.
